What we do.

Our specialist legal services include:

  • Family Law – From divorce, financial settlements, children’s matters and separation agreements. Our compassionate family law solicitors have a vast amount of experience helping clients navigate both the legal and emotional journeys that family law can take them.

  • Wills & Probate – Advising clients on the drafting and execution of wills, power of attorney, estate administration and probate services. Planning your estate can be difficult, but it is something that we all must undergo to help protect those we love.

  • Property – Working on both residential and commercial properties, our team can help with conveyancing, buying new build properties, shared ownership, and re-mortgages. We utilise technology to ensure a smooth process for you. Our dedicated conveyancing app provides you with 24/7 updates on the progress of your case.

  • Corporate & Commercial – Our corporate & commercial solicitors can advise you and your business on business sales, commercial contracts, shareholder agreements and exit strategies. The team, led by Rob Kelly, has a strong reputation for handling exit strategies and assisting clients in transferring their businesses to Employee Ownership Trusts (EOTs).

  • Civil Litigation and Dispute Resolution – Assisting clients who are involved in non-criminal legal disputes. We can help clients with contract disputes, personal injury claims, clinical negligence, property litigation, will disputes and inheritance claims.

Holden Smith is a full service law form assisting clients across England and Wales.

Our values.

Move.

We’re dynamic; we don’t stay the same. We move and change and progress - because we’re looking for ways to do things better. We’ve got an entrepreneurial spirit. We listen.

Simplify.

We don’t make things complicated. We don’t speak in riddles of legal jargon and we don’t add the unnecessary to a process. We use tech in innovative ways to make things easy.

Challenge.

We never shy away from a challenge. We’re happy to ask the tough questions and to have them asked of us, too.

Ordinary.

What’s wrong with just being ordinary, decent human beings We’re approachable. We’re not smug about being legal professionals. We love using tech, but it supports our humans and doesn’t replace them.

Frequently Asked Questions.

Why do you only serve England and Wales?

As we are based in Northern England, we are bound to adhere to the laws of England and Wales as they fall under the same jurisdiction. The rest of the United Kingdom (Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, and the Isle of Wight) each has different laws that place them in a different jurisdiction that we are not permitted to work within.

Where can I see your job vacancies?

We will post any job vacancies that we have onto our website, careers page as well as on our social media channels such as LinkedIn and Instagram.

Do I need to visit an office in person?

No. We offer full remote onboarding, digital ID verification and online meetings.

We understand that sometimes it is easier for you to meet in person with our team to discuss your case, and we are always able to accommodate your needs.

How much are your legal fees?
